Volunteer Board Member Opportunity
Background
Rowan House provides services to women and children across southern Alberta, including the communities of Okotoks, Black Diamond, Turner Valley, High River, Blackie, Vulcan, Nanton, Claresholm and surrounding rural areas. Rowan House also supports men through our Safe at Home program which is an alternative approach to addressing domestic abuse.

Rowan House Mission: To provide crisis intervention, long-term support and preventative education to break the cycle of domestic abuse in our communities.
The Opportunity
Rowan House Society is looking for individuals interested in supporting the local community, who are good communicators and who enjoy working as part of an extraordinary team.
Qualifications
Previous not-for-profit Board experience would be considered an asset but is not necessary.
Additional experience in the following areas would be a definite asset:
- Human Resources
- Law
- Accounting
- Indigenous perspectives
- Male perspectives
