Despite women being key to board diversity and improved business performance their presence in board rooms is still very low. Over the last few years we have witnessed an incremental rise, but more needs to be achieved. There is a misalignment between supply and demand. The Davies report recommends 25% women on Boards by 2013 in the UK and equally ambitious targets of 20% presence for women on Boards across Europe. In response to these targets Boardwalk is a programme created to support women who want to achieve Board level status within the next three years.
Boardwalk is a catalyst for board readiness in the private, public and not-for-profit sector. The programme offers a result-driven combination of training, personal professional development, opportunities to gain relevant experience, sustained mentoring and championing.
Special features include personal assessments to identify goals and barriers, experiential and action-based learning, inspirational speakers, personalised mentoring, championing opportunities and voluntary opportunities as a Trustee or Advisory Board member.
The founding partners are experienced in business and training, specialising in strategic consultancy, leadership development, executive education, coaching and performance with experience of Board level positions.
